L’Oréal Industry Professional Inspires College Hairdressing Students with Masterclass

Hairdressing students received industry experience this week as Matt from L’Oréal visited the campus to share his professional expertise and insider knowledge as part of National Careers Week.

The session provided a unique opportunity for students to move beyond their textbooks and engage with the latest innovations from one of the world’s most iconic haircare brands. Matt led an in-depth discussion on the newest L’Oréal professional product ranges, offering a detailed look at the science behind modern hair care and how these advancements are transforming the way stylists work in the modern salon environment.

Throughout the visit, Matt shared his personal tips and tricks for achieving professional results, giving students a “behind-the-scenes” look at the techniques he uses in his own career. 

Students were guided on how to select the perfect formulas for specific hair types and textures. This tailored advice is set to have an immediate impact on the students’ practical work, as they will now be able to apply these high-end product recommendations to the clients they serve in the College’s own on-site salon.
