RAF Cranwell Graduation Highlights Success of Peterborough and Stamford Colleges' Air and Defence Students
The remarkable achievements of students from Peterborough College and Stamford College’s Air and Defence College, both part of Inspire Education Group, took centre stage at a graduation ceremony held at RAF College Cranwell in Lincolnshire.
The event saw senior RAF officials, aerospace business leaders, and proud families in attendance, as each Air and Defence student was awarded their graduation certificate. Since the launch of the Air and Defence College, hundreds of students have graduated, taking advantage of the unique employer-led programme that has paved the way for RAF Basic Recruit Training, apprenticeships, jobs, and further education in the aerospace sector.
Inspire Education Group was also awarded the Bailey Trophy, honoring RAF pilot Sam Bailey’s legacy. Sam, who tragically lost his life in 2012, is remembered for his dedication to fitness and leadership. This trophy, awarded annually to the Air and Defence College with the highest fitness scores, was presented to the IEG cohort on the evening.
