Studying Media will provide you with opportunities to gain experience and knowledge in computer games design, magazine publishing, animation, illustration, videography and much more!
You’ll have access to industry standard HD Cameras, the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Software and our suite of 173 mac computers as well as the opportunity to attend industry days where experts and employers from the industry visit the College and impart their knowledge and top tips for success in the sector. You will also be supported to develop your portfolio to demonstrate your skills and talent to universities and potential employers when you leave.

Oscar Cutmore, former Level 3 Creative Media student of Stamford College and a talented young animator, has been making significant strides in the world of short film. Having secured a scholarship to study Filmmaking at Escape Studios in London, Oscar is keen to draw upon the skillset he’s honed during his time at College and further develop his craft.
The best bit about the course was being able to use the film cameras and gain valuable experience using industry-standard equipment. The course and studying in a college environment have helped me to become more independent, both in my work and personally, preparing me for university study.
My teachers and tutors guided me towards my future career. Through constant conversations and exploration of possible routes that match my interests, I’ve landed a degree apprenticeship. The practical, hands-on activities, such as filming my coursework for my Media A Level, allowed me to develop my creativity and filming skillset, ahead of my career in marketing.
