Develop your football skills through practical learning and competitive league matches at the Borderville Sports Complex, including training for a career as a semi-professional footballer with guidance from industry experts.
You will have access to Borderville – our real working sports centre complete with all-weather outdoor pitch, fitness suite, and a newly laid FA-rated football pitch, alongside opportunities to get involved sports coaching activities with our students and in partnership with local schools.
The Sports team combines experience from professional clubs, youth academies, and the education sector, offering students a balance of practical and academic insight. Collectively, they hold degrees and professional accreditations in Sport and Exercise Science, Coaching, and Education, with expertise spanning coaching, performance, and player development. Their blend of industry knowledge and teaching experience ensures students gain the skills and understanding needed to succeed both in sport and beyond.

College Taster Day
Our programmes offers a Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Sport course with six hours of weekly training and regular Wednesday match days. Students must engage in both their academic studies and Football Academy commitments for comprehensive development.

Taylor Dean completed her Public Services course at Stamford College’s Borderville Campus with Distinctions in all units. While studying, she played for Peterborough United Ladies First Team and began her football coaching qualifications. After college, Taylor continued to develop her playing career and now represents Lincoln City Ladies at a competitive level. Her journey reflects a strong commitment to both sport and personal development.
