Level 3 Creative Media Students Visit London for a Day of Inspiration and Learning

13 December 2024

Stamford College’s Level 3 Creative Media students recently enjoyed an inspiring day in London, exploring the city’s vibrant art and photography scene.

The visit began at the Photographers’ Gallery, where students viewed works by acclaimed photographers Deborah Turbeville, Letizia Battaglia, and Sian Davey, as well as a special archive celebrating the renowned photography journal Ten.8. The exhibition offered students a unique opportunity to study different photographic styles, techniques, and storytelling approaches, enriching their own creative practice.

The day continued at Frameless LDN, the UK’s largest multi-sensory art experience, where students engaged with world-famous artworks presented in immersive and innovative ways. This experience allowed learners to explore art beyond traditional formats, encouraging them to think creatively about presentation, audience engagement, and the use of technology in modern media.

The trip provided an invaluable combination of learning and inspiration, helping students develop their artistic vision while broadening their understanding of contemporary creative industries. Stamford College celebrates the enthusiasm and curiosity of our Creative Media students, and looks forward to seeing how experiences like this shape their future projects and careers.
