Stamford College Celebrates Creative Talent at Annual 'Party in the Car Park'
Last week, Stamford College, further education provider of Inspire Education Group (IEG), hosted an unforgettable evening of fun and creativity at the annual ‘Party in the Car Park’ event. Both the main car park on Drift Road and the Creative Arts block were transformed into a vibrant exhibition space, offering a platform for Creative Arts students across all courses, levels, and groups to showcase their remarkable talents.
Year on year, ‘Party in the Car Park’ serves as a crucial milestone to recognise the achievements of Stamford College’s Creative Arts students. An excellent opportunity to gain recognition, appreciation, and feedback from a diverse audience, this event attracts the attention of VIPs and opens doors to future opportunities in varied creative industries.
In addition to the multidisciplinary installations of film, still image, art, fashion and graphic design, visitors could enjoy captivating performances by the Performing Arts and Music students, as well as local poets, whilst indulging in crafty food from ‘The Cheesy Pig, ice cream, and drinks from the bar.
Rachael Cooper, Head of Faculty for Business, IT, Media, & Arts at Stamford College explained, “The Party in the Car Park is a really unique event. It showcases the work of nearly 300 talented artists, designers, photographers, performers and musicians, some of whom are about to leave us and move onto new and exciting things. Everyone I spoke to was blown away by the high standard of work and the students’ professionalism. We are so proud of each and every one of our students and last night was the perfect opportunity to show everyone how far they have come”.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who attended and contributed to the success of the evening. Congratulations to all the students and staff involved, who made this year’s ‘Party in the Car Park’ an event to remember.
